Autograph letter signed, dated : Genoa, 18 May 1840, to Francesco Lucca in Milan, 1840 May 18.

Complaining that Lucca has delayed the publication of Nicolai's opera (probably Il templario), saying that since he has been in Ricordi's shop the score has been requested twice (once by officers from an American ship), saying that Ricordi has offered him 50 francs to make the piano arrangement of the final duet but that he has refused in order to keep faith with Lucca (whose failures he finds inexplicable and infuriating), adding that a third customer has just come to the shop asking for the score, etc.
